The Taxi 97 app is built and maintained by ABR Solutions and Taxi 97 as a free app for requesting, tracking, and paying for taxi rides. On this page we inform you of our policies with regard to data collection and privacy.
In order to provide and improve this service, data is collected about you and your rides.
To protect against abuse of the service, we require a valid phone number before placing an order. We may use the phone number to contact you for important information, e.g. if the driver is unable to find you at the pickup location. The phone number will be verified through an SMS message which you must confirm by entering a PIN code in the app.
Additionally we require you to enter a name that we use to identify you when picking you up. This name can be an alias if you wish.
Optionally you can provide an email address, which is used to send you receipts and other important information. We do not send emails to you unless it is to inform you about your trip, or if you explicitly ask us to.
When requesting a ride, we collect relevant information about the order and store it on our server for further processing by us and the taxi supplier. The data about you and your trip is stored on our server to be reused the next time the app is launched. The server also collects information about the system used to place the order, such as the device model and operating system.
Optionally you can pay for the service by entering payment information in the app. The payment information is stored for reuse the next time you use the service. Taxi 97 or ABR Solutions do not store or handle the payment information ourselves; the storing and processing is carried out by Worldline, a PCI-certified third party.

Anonymous data is data that cannot be associated with you personally. The service collects such data for the purpose of improving the service. This includes, but is not limited to, how you move around in the app and interact with it, and how the app is performing while in use.

The service works with a third party to process and dispatch your order.
The service uses Google Maps APIs: Google privacy policy
All traffic between your device and the cloud is sent over a secure channel (HTTPS).
We may update this policy from time to time. You are advised to periodically review this policy as you use the service. The changes in our policy are effective immediately after posted on this page.
